Type Locality and Naming

Along the village of Ispisar, Fergana. M.P. Gramm, 1959 (181, p.14).

Synonym: Ispissarskaya Suite, Исписарская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Gravel-pebble rocks, gray sandstones, rarely siltstone (aleurolites), grayish-brown clays. M. up to 350m (Akbely-Akchop-Supetau) and up to 600m (Sumsar-Maylisay).

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Sometimes lies with angular unconformity on the Kepeli Fm or with erosion on Neogene rocks

Upper contact

the upper boundary is unclear with Neopleistocene deposits
